From the Airport

From both airports, bus shuttles run to the Taksim Square, stop by the Point hotel (where our speakers will be).

The buses depart every 20-60 minutes, depending on hour of travel. The cost is 87 TR from Istanbul International Airport (IST) and from Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) 67,50 TR. At IST, the bus departure is at -2 level (signage), buses departing to Taksim Square leave from platform 16. Ticket office is on the platform, credit cards are accepted.

 

Shuttles and Buses from and to Istanbul Airport

Buses used to be the only public transportation option from the new Istanbul Airport.

As of early 2023, Metro Line M11 also connects the new airport to the city of Istanbul Nevertheless, IST shuttle buses remain a cheap and convenient alternative.

Regardless, there is a surprisingly wide variety of available bus routes. Havaist and IETT buses carry frequent itineraries to every corner of Istanbul, while Istanbul Seyahat buses handle intercity transfers.

By Taxi from the Airports

Transportation by taxi from the airports to ICC:

Istanbul Airport (European Side) 37 minutes
Sabiha Gökçen Airport (Anatolian Side) 55 minutes

There are two types of taxis, yellow/orange and blue which are a bit more expensive.

It is important to always ask the driver to put the metre on!

Average price from the airport to Taksim Square is 440 TR (22 €) but depends on traffic.

 

Bus, Metro, Tram and Funicular Lines

Public transportation to the congress center (ICC):

By Metro
You can take the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro line and get off at Osmanbey or Taksim stations to easily access Istanbul Congress Center.

Osmanbey and Taksim metro stations are approximately 7 minutes’ walking distance to Istanbul Congress Center.

Alternatively, you can use the F1 Taksim - Kabataş funicular line and get off at Taksim station to reach to Istanbul Congress Center.

By Metrobus
From Mecidiyeköy stop, you can transfer to metro or bus stop to access Istanbul Congress Center.

By Bus:
There are direct transportation options to Harbiye from various central districts including Taksim, Eminönü and Mecidiyeköy. ICC is only 2 minutes’ walking distance from the bus stop in front of TRT Istanbul Radio.

By Minibus:
You can take the Beşiktaş-Harbiye minibus across Beşiktaş ferry station to access Harbiye Avenue.

ICC is approximately 3 minutes’ walking from Harbiye Minibus Stop.
