1. State of the art session (SOA) is an educational session presenting new Guidelines of ESGO. Questions from the audience are discussed at the end of the session. Chair and co-chair(s) present part of the new guideline.

 

2. Debate (DEB) is an interactive session that offers a sparkling and engaging discussion on controversial issues. Two speakers present an opposite opinion (proponent/opponent) on the given topic. Their lectures are followed by a discussion with the audience. A chairperson moderates the discussion and gives a balanced conclusion at the end of the session.

 

3. Scientific session (ScS) provides a critical review of diverse aspects of a specific topic. Each lecture is followed by a discussion. Two speakers chair the session.

 

4. Video session (VIDEO) is an educational session that gives an opportunity to present practical skills and different surgical approaches as well as diagnostic procedures. Each session is chaired by an expert. The Chair will present an own video, in addition the program is composed of 6 video-presentations submitted as an abstract.

 

5. Tumour board (TB) is an educational interactive session chaired by 3 experts, representing different disciplines. Experts present clinical cases which are commented by panelists and discussed with the audience.

 

6. Workshop is a teaching interactive session aiming at training in practical skills. This type of session is designed for a smaller audience. Session duration is 1,5 hours and number of facilitators is adopted according to the field.

 

7. Meet the professor at breakfast is a meeting between a renowned expert and participants. It represents an opportunity to discuss topics within a field of interest in a small group. Each expert suggests a topic of his/her expertise and discusses it with participants.
